I Think Elon Musk Is Actually a Communist: Here Is Why

A letter I didn't intend to write.

Dear Elon,

you don´t know me, but I know You. I am not happy about it, it simply happened and not due to any of my own doing.

Like any mother, I think my kids deserve the best in the World. You know, Elon, normal parents do this. That's probably why I named them with common names instead of X Æ A-12, so that they wouldn't get bullied or laughed at.

My son had a great talent for history, politics and an interest in gaming since his youth, which at first glance is a crazy combination. He was eight years old and It seemed very strange when I saw him read Ernst Gombrich, while glued to the TV during Obama’s inauguration. Later in his childhood he discovered a passion for math and engineering, dreaming to work in aerospace or for Tesla.  

Two years ago, in the middle of the Covid lockdown, I received a text message from my son on my way from the beach in Vancouver. It read, "Hi Mom. By the time you read this message, I'll be on a plane over the ocean back to Europe. I dropped out of college. I know you've always said you went to Canada because of us, to keep us safe,  but I see it differently now.  Elon says education is not necessary. You should read something about him from time to time and start following him on Twitter. He also started from scratch. And look, he's flying into space and making cars of the future. I did not say goodbye because I know your art of persuasion. Say hello to my dad and my little sister. "

I cried for almost a month and then I got up and life went on. Over time, my son Frank wrote about all that you have accomplished Elon, what you are doing, who your wives and mistresses were, who you associate with and how you are doing. I know everything, like if you were Reverend Moon or the second coming of Jesus Christ.  My son did not manage to invest in either bitcoin or dogecoin, because he has been working his ass off in Europe for the second year and all he earns is barely enough to pay his bills. He could have gotten rich like you and invested everything in cryptocurrencies and become even richer, right?

Thanks to my son, I learned that you believe in and preach a new religion, called longtermism and effective altruism. To have some theme to talk about, I studied what I could. You see, Elon, I'm the same age as you, but I was born in Eastern Europe when my country was occupied by the Soviets. I spent the first twenty years of my life in horrific totalitarianism under the dictates of Soviet propaganda. This rather scary school was good to understand in detail the Russian culture, which was forcibly implanted in our schools along with their language to become part of our identity. I somehow managed to explain it to my son. When he was ten, he was the only child in his class to know what had happened in Czechoslovakia in 1948 and 1968.

Both years with the magic eight at the end turned into huge trauma for my country. For the first time the Soviets came unofficially. Immediately after WW2, they began intensive subversion of the security forces, they started purges in the police and army. When their proxies – communists – came to power, they went on to purge universities and high schools, fire and intimidate teachers and school officials, rewrite history and art, create obligatory narratives justifying violence, and bestially torture political opponents.  Educated people were suspicious and disgusting to them. Some college professors were locked up because they were too educated. Across the Vltava River in Prague there is a bridge nicknamed the Bridge of Intelligence. The bridge was built by university teachers and scientists locked up or fired for life so that the communists would have cheap labor and would not have to pay much.

 In 1968, the Soviets came again, this time officially, arriving on tanks. And this was exactly the time when the Czechs began to think that they could somehow trickster their way out of the Soviet dictate and stop sending uranium, for which the Russians did not pay, and which were mined by those tortured teachers and political opponents in the concentration camps. Nice, isn't it? When a person knows history, they can teach their child to distinguish between good and evil.

I taught my son a simple truth: Boy, whatever the Kremlin people and their useful idiots say and do, stay away from them, and always do the exact opposite. They are criminals and lies are their modus operandi.

Do you know what I came up with, Elon? That your longtermism is nothing else than what we were taught at school. The subject was called Marxism – Leninism, and it said that ideal communism was not attainable immediately. That is why their “socialism” (the communist regime called itself socialist) was allegedly so imperfect. Because we are moving towards a higher, perfect historical form – communism, they said. Once we reach pure communism and higher consciousness in many generations, we were told, there will finally be the ultimate paradise. People will put aside everything that is opportunistic and short term altruistic and become perfect communist people. That is why "mistakes" (as the communists called the Soviet concentration camps) must be tolerated. Were it not for masterful propaganda and terror, we would have beaten the Communists with a whip during the first ten years. But their propaganda brainwashed half the nation and turned them into the same sect that you created. They worshipped Stalin and believed that he would lead them to a futurist paradise. By the way, it was him, who invented the word DISINFORMATION in the 20s.

When we finally realized that Russia is the problem, and the half-witted Czech communists started to rebel too, their tanks arrived, killing innocent civilians, kids, and moms with kids.  That's when they showed exactly who they are. We then spent another twenty years with their troops in the country. By then it was clear to everyone what's going on. After all, at that time they did not believe their own propaganda either. They began to export the stolen money like crazy to the West and store it in Trump Tower, Switzerland and in South Africa, where their secret services bought precious stones on the black market. When their "communism" finally collapsed, they and their secret services and mafiosi were the richest people on the Earth. And in addition to the suits on Savile Row, they eventually bought a part of Silicon Valley.

Two years have passed, and my son is still working in Europe. He didn't give up. But the frequency of his enthusiastic reports coming from your hagiography diminished.

Recently, Elon, you did something I've been waiting for two years. You proposed a peace plan between Russia and Ukraine as Daladier and Chamberlain once proposed peace between Hitler and Czechoslovakia: They recommended that Czechoslovakia hand over part of its territory to Hitler. Lovely.

The reaction of my historically educated son was not long in coming. A brief message arrived: “Hi Mom. I think Elon Musk is a schmuck.”

You see, Elon, history won. You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. When the communists owned all the media and all the communication channels, we experienced their Surveillance Communism. Our every word was carefully recorded and evaluated by the secret services. We were 24/7 like under an X-ray.  We developed the art of talking in hints, not saying anything on the phone, looking twice over our shoulder on the street and we got PTSD. But we survived. And we'll survive you too.  And by the way, to teach kids that education is BS, is a military subversion. The Soviets did that ever since.
