Not only Czech women were raised like that. All Socialist countries of Eastern Europe had the same approach, even the same language, about the woman being the neck, verbatim. We were educated to be good housewives, submissive, playful, never publicly show we're stronger or smarter than men. An ideal woman is a coquette, a flirty jewel, always wearing makeup, sexy clothes, stiletto heels and French perfume. A smart woman who wouldn't lift a finger to conceal her wits and seem a coquette instead is a brute.

Women would rip each other's throats, metaphorically, competing for a man, intrigues all the way.
